1999
Since 1999, J’adore, first designed as a floral bouquet, has offered a range of fragrances that pay tribute to the fine materials and the art of perfume as defined by Christian Dior.
The bottle was designed by Hervé Van der Straeten, who gave it the very pure shape of an amphora, reminiscent of the curves of the En 8 line designed by Christian Dior in 1947.
The gold-rimmed neck follows the line and profile of the Haute Couture necklaces designed by John Galliano for Christian Dior. The shape of the golden neck extends the bottle's silhouette, giving it a majestic and sensual appearance.
As soon as it was launched, J’adore was associated with gold, a universal expression of luxury and opulence.
Since 1999, J’Adore has been inviting women to experience the ultimate luxury: to snuggle up in a voluptuous and sensual golden bath, an intimate emotion of pure luxury, a ritual which resonates in every culture.
J’adore, which has been re-released a number of times since 1999, has been embodied by the actress Charlize Theron for over ten years. It remains one of the House’s most iconic fragrances to this day.
