Soirée à Bangkok was a long evening dress in pink embroidered tulle from the Fall-Winter 1962 Haute Couture collection, Flèche line.
This collection echoed the line of the same name presented by Christian Dior in 1956.
Soirée à Bangkok was a major piece in the collection, particularly because of its extremely fine embroidery.
Meticulous and delicate restoration work on the embroidery was necessary to preserve this piece.
The flower petals were embroidered with rocaille beads, reviving the style with elegance.
